Windows Movie Maker 2

From Misc Data Digs

Windows Movie Maker 2 was almost certainly the most used video editor of all time, thanks to its usage in hastily edited videos on DVDs, some class projects, and countless web videos. This was because it was free and came with (updates of) Windows XP. It did have small dedicate plug-in community which added several effects and transitions, which would not survive come the complete recoding of Movie Maker for Vista.

Developer Strings[edit | edit source]

moviemaker.exe[edit | edit source]

A string table with a few debug strings remains inside the executable.

Flip the switch to have the dialogs use the autolayout code.
Call MsoDALRunDebugDialog() for autolayout
Show Queue Dialog for UI inspection

wmm2res.dll[edit | edit source]

Some random developer texts are also left behind here in the string table.

This will fire a test assert, you can JIT debug from here
